Erik, Addictions Counselor

Erik is originally from Manhattan, NYC and currently lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is bi-vocational and provides offender addiction treatment services at a private practice location.

 

His training includes having completed over 200 hours of Addiction Counseling training through the state of Colorado and is completing clinical hours towards his Licensed Addiction Counselor license through the state currently.

 

He also holds additional training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) from Noeticus Counseling Institute and leads a men’s DBT group for offenders locally.

 

Erik is active in social justice groups including Justice for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Never Use Alone, and the Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition.

 

* As with other staff, Erik does not receive a salary for his services but instead contributes 100% of the proceeds to make clinician development and member services accessible to everyone in the ICHTHYSroe community, when they are in need, according to their desire to grow in God’s purpose for them (ESV, Acts 20:35).

Specialized Training

  • Over 20 years experience as a paramedic in a variety of settings.
  • Completed 100+ Hours in Colorado Counseling Training in skills such as Organizational Psychology, Motivation, Documentation and Social Psychology.
