John, Pastoral Counselor and Veterans' Counseling Specialist

John Collins was born and raised in Bronx, NY. He is a newlywed and happily married to the love of his life, Sondi Collins.

He has been a faithful and committed member of Upper Room Christian Center, under the leadership of Bishop Howard A. Daniel since 2016. He is currently serving as the Security President and a member of the clergy staff.

His service also includes having been in the U.S Army where he became a Desert Storm veteran. After leaving the military, he became a State Trooper for the State of Connecticut, where he recently retired after 28 years.

He is a dedicated man of God who ministers through, prayer, preaching, and teaching the Word of God. His powerful testimony of salvation and deliverance is life changing for those who hear it. Elder Collins is one of God’s watchmen whose motto any foe that would try and come against God, His Word and God’s people is, “Not On My Watch!”

* As with other staff, John does not receive a salary for his services but instead contributes 100% of the proceeds to make clinician development and member services accessible to everyone in the ICHTHYSroe community, when they are in need, according to their desire to grow in God’s purpose for them (ESV, Acts 20:35).
