Tithing as a Member

What is tithing?
Some people believe that tithing went out of style with the Pharisees’ phylacteries–but tithing is not about doing things for people to see (Matt 23:5).

It’s about remembering that we are a part of the body of Christ and if we do not nourish it then we will not have the strength and resources to be able to work hard to build God’s kingdom.

At the top of this page is a simple chart. It shows how much 10% of what God has gifted to you equates to in terms of a weekly tithe.

What if I already tithe?
If you are one of the rare breed who not only self-profess as a Christian, but are also self-disciplined to tithe, then we encourage you to test your pastoral leadership. Are they willing to invest in your health? (For those who make more than $260k, you can split your tithe in half and still be sowing into a very unique ministry that most churches are not able to provide, and will not be able to have complementary support for their cherished members.)

What if I never found something that I wanted to tithe into?
If you are one of the other rare breed who want to tithe but do not have a ministry that you feel called to tithe too, then consider tithing to ICHTHYSroe’s family ministry. Are you willing to invest in those who invest in you or others who need God’s truth–before sliding into spiritual despair, or worse, secular disarray from seeking one of the forms of psychotherapy that are not consistent with God’s truth for His children? (For those who make more than $130k, but do not usually tithe, paying for one full-priced counseling session is all you will need to be a member in good standing. For those who make less than $130k, we would be honored to co-invest in you!)
